Test SocialDock on the public page and on more than one browser or device. Share services, native features, clipboard access, and responsive visibility can depend on the final URL and the visitor’s environment.

A share action uses the wrong URL or text

Publish the current page, then inspect the generated destination. Check custom URL templates and UTM fields for missing, duplicated, or malformed values. Test titles and URLs containing spaces or punctuation.

Web Share, Copy, or Print does not work

Native Web Share is available only where the browser and device support it. Keep another share option when it is important. Clipboard behavior can also depend on browser permissions and a secure page. Test Print from the public page rather than the editor preview.

A profile or custom link is wrong

Check the full URL, target, and rel options. For a custom template, preserve all required service syntax and supported placeholders.

An item disappears

Review its per-item visibility setting and the dock’s stacking breakpoint. Test just below and above the breakpoint. Do not set every essential item to the opposite device range.

Icons or labels are hard to understand

  • Use a clear custom label.

  • Keep icon-only controls large enough to activate.

  • Check custom SVGs at the global icon size.

  • Use sufficient contrast in Auto, Light, and Dark themes.

  • Make default, hover, and focus states visible.

Brand recognition does not replace an accessible name. When labels are visually hidden, make sure each item still has meaningful label text. Do not rely on color alone to identify services.

If the issue remains, email support@stackswork.com with the SocialDock version, item mode and service, destination or template with private data removed, theme, affected browser/device, and a public test URL.
