Keep the customized Dash project separate from a freshly downloaded update. Verify the publish path and collection IDs before changing editors or authentication.
The /admin URL is missing
Confirm that Dash was exported to the same destination directory as the main site and that its output is inside the admin folder. Check the domain entered on settings/general.
Dash opens but a section is empty
Check the collection ID used by that list or editor. Clear Cache once after correcting the connection. Also review Draft and Featured filters and the current search term.
Login or password recovery fails
Test the site’s Total CMS 3 authentication outside a cached session. Confirm the production domain and secure URL, then retry Forgot Password from the published login page.
A publish affects the main site
Current Dash projects keep sitemap generation disabled because a Dash sitemap could overwrite the main site’s sitemap. Web Icons were also removed to prevent replacing the main project’s favicons. Preserve both protections when customizing or updating an older Dash copy.
Dark mode or mobile editors look wrong
Use the current Dash version. Version 2.2 updated dark-mode support for current Total CMS 3 behavior, improved responsive layouts, and fixed mobile sidebar overflow inside editors.
Update safely
Download a fresh project copy.
Keep the working customized project and its publish output backed up.
Compare domain, collection, navigation, branding, and editor changes.
Transfer and test changes in a private location.
Publish only after login, all sections, sitemap, and favicons have been checked.
If the problem remains, email support@stackswork.com with the Dash version, Total CMS generation, affected path or collection, public test URL, and any Server Checker result that does not contain private credentials.
