Every SocialDock Item has its own mode, service, label, icon, brand-color choice, and visibility. Configure the item according to what should happen when a visitor activates it.

Share items

SocialDock includes native Web Share and services such as X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, Pinterest, Reddit, Mastodon, and others. It also includes copy-to-clipboard, email, and print actions.

Publish before final testing. Share services need a real page URL, and some services or native actions behave differently by browser and device.

Link items

Use Link Mode for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, GitHub, Mastodon, a website, or another custom destination. Enter the full destination and test it directly. Select the required target and rel options for the link.

Custom URL templates

A custom template can assemble a service URL from supported placeholders. Preserve the placeholders shown by SocialDock and test with a title and page URL that contain spaces or punctuation.

Campaign tracking

Use the UTM fields when shared links should identify a campaign source or medium. After publishing, open a generated share destination and check that the page URL contains the intended parameters only once.

Per-item presentation

  • Replace the default label when the action needs clearer wording.

  • Use a custom SVG for a service without a suitable built-in icon.

  • Enable automatic brand color only when it remains readable in the dock theme.

  • Set visibility to All, Mobile, or Desktop as required.
