ZapNap replaces a published page with a maintenance or coming-soon overlay while you work behind it. You can use it on one page, on selected pages, or from a shared partial when several pages need the same state.
Set up your first maintenance page
Add ZapNap to the page you want to control. For broader coverage, place it in a shared partial that is present on every affected page.
Use Show Preview while you design the overlay in the editor.
Add a short headline and a useful status message. Tell visitors what is unavailable and, when possible, when they should return.
Choose the background, card, spacing, colors, typography, border, and optional animation.
Publish the page, then enable Maintenance Mode and publish again when the overlay should become public.
Open the normal public URL in a private browser window to confirm what regular visitors see.
Target one page or a wider area
A ZapNap instance affects the page on which it is published. Use separate instances for selected pages, or place one instance in a shared partial when the same maintenance state should apply across a larger part of the site. ZapNap can also be used for scheduled downtime.
Reopen the page
Turn off Maintenance Mode, publish the change, and test the public URL again. Do not rely only on the editor preview when reopening an important page.
