Statser provides cookie-free live analytics for Total CMS 3 and stores its data locally with the website.

REQUIREMENTS

Statser requires Total CMS 3.5.0-rc.1 or newer and PHP 8.2 or newer. It works with Total CMS Lite, Standard, and Pro. GeoIP is optional.

INSTALLATION

  1. Download and extract the Statser archive.

  2. Locate the tcms-data directory actually used by the website. RapidWeaver and subdirectory installations may use a path outside the web root.

  3. Open tcms-data/extensions. Create the extensions folder there if needed.

  4. Upload the included stackswork folder and merge it with an existing one.

  5. Confirm the final path tcms-data/extensions/stackswork/statser.

  6. Enable Statser in Total CMS Extensions and open it from the sidebar.

START TRACKING

Open Settings, enable Tracking active, and save. Regular Total CMS pages load the Statser extension asset automatically. Use the displayed Manual snippet only on pages where that asset is not already loaded; adding it twice would record duplicate activity.

VERIFY THE FIRST VISIT

Open a normal website page in another browser or private window and interact with it. Return to Statser and refresh the dashboard. The visit should appear in Live and in the current period.

The Statser dashboard itself and the configured public dashboard are excluded from tracking. If no visit appears, run Diagnostics and check tracking status, the exact tcms-data path, excluded paths, device exclusion, IP exclusion, and browser network errors.
