TotalDropdown turns values from Total CMS 1 into a form control. It can create a single dropdown, radio buttons, a multiple-selection interface, or checkboxes inside a Foundation 6 form.

Requirements

  • The current TotalDropdown stack installed in Stacks App

  • Total CMS 1

  • A Foundation 6 form

Create a first field

  1. Add TotalDropdown to the Foundation 6 form.

  2. Choose Blog Post or Blog ID as the source.

  3. When using Blog ID, enter the required ID.

  4. Choose the CMS field under List from.

  5. Set a unique Field Name.

  6. Enter a visible label and placeholder.

  7. Choose single or multiple selection and publish the form.

Start with a normal single-select dropdown. Once its options and submitted value are correct, switch to radio buttons, chips, or checkboxes if that interface is better for the choices.

Test the complete form

Select an option, submit the form to a safe test destination, and inspect the received field name and value. Then repeat with no selection when the field is optional or required.

Keep the CMS source stable

TotalDropdown centralizes choice data in Total CMS 1. Editing that source changes the form options, so review the form after renaming or removing source values.
